Our Distinctions
-
Cascadia Prep students have a completely unique high school experience found nowhere else. We don’t believe you should have to give up your high school experience just to get ahead. Our program goes beyond dual credit and offers our students the ability to actually earn their Associate of Arts Oregon Transfer (AAOT) degree simultaneously with their high school diploma.
The AAOT is a powerful degree allowing them several advantages. First, it provides a seamless transition to all of Oregon’s public universities and many outside of Oregon, guaranteeing that all credits transfer, which can significantly reduce the time and cost needed to complete a bachelor’s degree. Additionally, earning an AAOT in high school demonstrates exceptional academic commitment and achievement, enhancing college applications and scholarship opportunities. Students also benefit from a broader and more rigorous academic experience, gaining skills and knowledge that prepare them for both higher education and future careers. Ultimately, an AAOT sets students on a path to success, offering them a head start in their academic and professional journeys.

A liberal arts education combined with biblical worldview integration offers students a unique and profound learning experience. This combination fosters critical thinking, a deep sense of purpose, and a well-rounded character. By studying a wide range of subjects through the lens of a biblical worldview, students learn to see the interconnectedness of knowledge. This helps them develop a holistic understanding of the world, where faith and reason complement each other.
Character Formation: Integrating a biblical perspective encourages students to cultivate virtues such as integrity, compassion, and humility. These values shape their character and guide their actions, preparing them to make ethical decisions in all areas of life.
Critical Analysis: A liberal arts education promotes critical thinking by challenging students to question assumptions, analyze arguments, and consider multiple perspectives. When combined with a biblical worldview, students learn to evaluate ideas and information through the lens of their faith, leading to more thoughtful and discerning conclusions.
Effective Contributions: This educational approach equips students to contribute meaningfully to society. They are encouraged to use their talents and knowledge for the greater good, inspired by biblical principles of service and stewardship. This mindset prepares them to be leaders and change-makers in their communities.
Lifelong Learning: Emphasizing both liberal arts and biblical principles instills a love of learning and a commitment to personal growth. Students are encouraged to continually seek knowledge and wisdom, understanding that learning is a lifelong journey.
Overall, the integration of a liberal arts education with a biblical worldview prepares students not only for successful careers but also for impactful lives. They become well-rounded individuals who think deeply, act ethically, and contribute positively to the world around them.

We are a relational community where connections are at the heart of a Cascadia education. Here, students discover that a meaningful and joyful life comes from giving and receiving grace within our community. At Cascadia, we know each other well and are known. Together, we learn, grow in faith, participate in school activities, and share life's moments. These experiences help students grow personally and prepare them to share their virtues with the world. By focusing on relationships—in and amongst ourselves and our community at large—we create a supportive environment where everyone thrives. Strong connections build trust, encourage teamwork, and boost well-being, making education at Cascadia truly transformative.
